Big I Tri-County Rings in New Leadership with Mardi Gras Flair
March 31, 2025 | Big I Tri-County celebrated a night of color, community, and new beginnings at our first-ever Mardi Gras and Installation of Officers and Directors event at Bourbon Street Cajun Restaurant in Queens, NY. Independent agents from across the tri-county and Suffolk area gathered for a festive evening that honored our association’s legacy, welcomed new leadership, and gave back to the next generation.
The highlight of the evening was the official installation of the 2025–2026 Board of Directors, led by Big I New York President & CEO Lisa Lounsbury. We’re thrilled to welcome Patrick Marlowe of Silvershore Group as our incoming President and Sean Silvio of Meyerson-Roth as Vice President, both beginning their terms on May 1st.
In true Mardi Gras fashion, guests enjoyed a lively atmosphere filled with beads, laughs, and even cupcakes with a twist—Brian Kutayiah of Clearview Insurance Agency found the special king cupcake and won a mini JBL speaker!
The celebration also supported a meaningful cause. Attendees purchased Mardi Gras necklaces to benefit the Big I Tri-County Scholarship Fund, and we proudly awarded two deserving high school seniors scholarships to help further their education:
The Stephen T. Dooley Community Service Scholarship was awarded to Abigail Murray, a senior at New Hyde Park Memorial High School who will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall.
The Joel S. Pollack Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Aidan Joneleit, a senior at Herricks High School who is currently deciding on his college destination.
A big congratulations to Chris Re’, who took home $1,250 during our fundraising raffle!
We also honored the commitment and longevity of several of our longtime agency members:
Rosenzweig Insurance Agency, Inc. (Member since 1968)
Secur-All Insurance Agency (Member since 1964)
Montana Agency, Inc. (Member since 1963)
The Signature B&B Companies (Member since 1962)
Thank you to everyone who made this inaugural celebration such a success!
